Rawlings inks 3-year Liquidmetal contract extension
Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. Inc. is extending its partnership with Liquidmetal Technologies Inc. by three years to manufacture and market the Liquidmetal line of high-performance baseball bats.
The new three-year exclusive contract extends an initial partnership established in 2002, according to a release by Liquidmetal Technologies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are very excited about our extension and the continuation of our partnership with Liquidmetal. As a result of this partnership, we have been able to effectively combine innovation and performance in our bat product line," Rawlings Product Director Scott Siebers said in a statement
Lake Forest, Calif.-based Liquidmetal Technologies (OTC: LQMT) develops and commercializes amorphous metals, patented alloys and coatings.
Fenton, Mo.-based Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. Inc. manufactures sporting goods equipment. It is a division of Los Angeles-based K2 Inc. (NYSE: KTO).
